Sharifa Mohammed

My name is Sharifa Mohammed, and I am a native of Navrongo but stays at Yawhima Sunyani with my family. My path to higher education has been defined by resilience, family support, and the life changing intervention of those who believe in the power of education.
After completing my Senior High School education and passing the WASSCE with excellent marks, my academic journey came to an unexpected halt. Due to the heavy financial burden on my parents, I spent five years at home, holding onto my dreams while my peers moved forward. Despite the delay, I never lost sight of my goal to study Information Technology.
Everything changed when Sir Clement witnessed my family’s struggles and recognized my potential. He recommended me to the TheresahMary Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering students like me. I applied for their scholarship program and was honoured to be selected as a beneficiary.
Today, I am proudly pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR). Becoming a TheresahMary Foundation scholar has been a profound blessing. By removing the crushing weight of tuition fees, the foundation has allowed me to focus entirely on my academics without financial anxiety, develop technical skills essential for the modern world and also pursue my dream of becoming a specialist in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
I am deeply grateful to the TheresahMary Foundation and Sir Clement for their kindness and vision. You didn’t just pay for my education, you gave me the freedom to pursue my dreams without fear. I am committed to making the most of this opportunity and eventually contributing to the world as an AI specialist.
